A traffic stop is automatically enough reasonable suspicion. If you are driving, you also have to produce license, registration, and proof of insurance when asked.
Past those documents, you can stay quiet.
- You can refuse consent to a search of your vehicle, that preserves the issue for court.
- Never physically resist a search, even one you believe is unlawful.
